The Ukrainian Air Force has recorded “ballistics on Kyiv,” as air defense actions were triggered in the capital city.
Three persons have been hurt in the continuous, nighttime attacks according to Kyiv’s Mayor Vitaly Klitschko. Saying in a Telegram post that Russian drones are “entering the city,” he advised readers to “stay in shelters.”
Of the injured, one was treated on the scene and two were hospitalized, Klitschko added in an update.
In a previous post on Telegram following the attacks, the mayor stated medics were “heading to the scene”.
Timur Tkachenko, chief of Kyiv City Military Administration, claimed on Telegram that Metro tracks between two stations in Kyiv were damaged from the strikes; there was no fire or injuries.
In an earlier message, he noted the city is under a “combined attack.”
“Our estimates on air defense are accomplishing all required. We have to guard one another though! Keep safe, Tkachenko said.
About 4:30 a.m. local Ukrainian time, the Ukrainian Air Force reportedly detected cruise missiles approaching Lutsk, Chernihiv, Lviv, and the Rivne areas.
Earlier, the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration Dmitry Bryzhynskyi posted on Telegram preliminary information alleging a “high-rise building was hit” in Chernihiv, a city northeast of Kyiv.
Bryzhynskyi continued, “The city is currently under attack.”
