Ukraine’s KYIV — Regional governor Viacheslav Chaus reported Thursday that at least five people—including a one-year-old child—were murdered in a Russian drone attack on the northern Ukrainian city of Pryluky overnight.
The attack occurred just hours following a conversation between Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump claims Putin “very strongly” stated Russia will retaliate for Ukraine’s weekend drone assaults on Russian military airfields.
Chaus said six other persons were injured in the attack and have been hospitalized. He said that early Thursday morning, six Shahed-type drones targeted Pryluky’s residential districts, seriously damaging house structures.
Early Thursday, early Russian drone strike on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv left seventeen persons injured, including children, a pregnant lady, and a 93-year-old woman, regional head Oleh Syniehubov posted on Telegram hours later.
