Following Liverpool’s payment for an early contract release, Trent Alexander-Arnold will join Real Madrid on Sunday, 1 June.
The England right-back will so join the Spanish team in time to participate in the Club World Cup.
Alexander-Arnold has secured a six-year contract after already declaring he will be leaving Liverpool this summer.
Once his contract expired on June 30, the 26-year-old could have left Liverpool on a free transfer.
From 1 to 10 June, FIFA allowed an extra window for teams to register new players for the enlarged month-long Club World Cup, which begins on 14 June and is taking place in the United States.
